Sony launches Bravia 6 OLED TV series for 2026

Sony has officially launched the Bravia 6 OLED TV series as part of its 2026 lineup, aiming to provide a more accessible entry point into OLED technology. The series is available in five sizes: 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches.

These models utilize WOLED panels, likely the new LG Display WOLED SE technology, which focuses on increased brightness—reaching approximately 1,000 nits—at a lower cost. While this may result in higher reflection compared to premium panels, it offers significant improvements for HDR performance. The TVs feature a 120 Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Pentonic 800 processor, and four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports, making them highly suitable for gaming on consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Key features include Triluminos Pro for enhanced color, Google TV integration with Gemini AI for voice commands, and support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. The Bravia 6 is positioned as a mid-range option, sitting below the premium Bravia 8 and Bravia 9 II series.
