Sony expands ULT Power Sound series with three new Tower speakers
Sony has expanded its ULT Power Sound series with the launch of three new party speakers: the ULT Tower Max, ULT Tower 7, and ULT Tower 5. Designed for DJs, karaoke, and large gatherings, the lineup features a redesigned architecture centered on large circular woofers and the ULT DUCT bass-boosting system.
The flagship ULT Tower Max is the most powerful model, delivering up to 2,150 watts of output and featuring three 280mm woofers, two midrange drivers, and four tweeters. The mid-range ULT Tower 7 offers up to 420 watts and 360-degree sound, while the compact ULT Tower 5 provides 300 watts of power. Both the Tower 5 and 7 include IPX4 splash resistance.
To optimize audio performance, Sony collaborated with hip-hop producers including Dot Da Genius, Daru Jones, Dready, and Dennis ‘ROC. am’ Jones. The speakers include an ‘ULT Button’ to toggle between four sound modes: ULT1 (deep bass), ULT2 (high impact), FLAT (neutral), and LIVE (spacious performance feel). Connectivity options across the range include XLR, RCA, and USB-C, alongside Bluetooth and Auracast-based Party Chain technology for synchronizing multiple units.
