Sopot workers discover WWII-era German ammunition
During a building renovation in the center of Sopot, workers discovered a cache of military ammunition hidden in a niche under the stairs in a basement.
Police and specialized officers identified the items as 17 pieces of German 20 mm anti-aircraft ammunition dating back to World War II. Following the discovery, the area was secured by the Sopot Police to prevent public access. Polish Army sappers arrived at the scene to retrieve the projectiles, which were transported to a training ground for neutralization.
