Sorocaba Supercampeonato Veterano 2026 enters round of 16
The round of 16 for the Taça Ouro trophy of the Supercampeonato Veterano 2026 is scheduled to begin this Saturday, August 29. The tournament is organized by the Sorocaba City Hall through the Secretariat of Sport and Quality of Life (Sequav).
The competition's first phase involved 40 clubs divided into eight groups of five. The top two teams from each group have advanced to the round of 16, which will be decided in single matches. Moving forward, the quarterfinals and semifinals will follow a home-and-away format, while the final for the Taça Ouro will be a single match.
Additionally, the tournament structure includes the Taça Prata for third-place finishers and the Taça Bronze for fourth-place finishers. Sequav has issued a reminder to fans that the use of fireworks is prohibited under Law No. 12.209/2020, though colored smoke is permitted.
