Sota Fukushi leads filming for new Nippon TV drama ‘Hide and Seek’

Cast members Sota Fukushi, Ayara Shida, and Juri Tanaka have officially begun filming for the upcoming Nippon TV drama ‘Hide and Seek: 0-byo no Kanojo’, scheduled to premiere on October 4.

Based on the novel by Masahiro Imamura, the mystery-romance follows a freelance journalist, played by Fukushi, who becomes a fugitive after a bombing incident. The story begins when he receives a phone call from his supposedly deceased lover while in hiding in South Korea.

Fukushi commenced filming with a three-day beard to portray his character's fugitive state. Shida began her scenes with a romantic date sequence, while Tanaka, playing the leader of an opposing political group, started filming at a hideout location. The production team reported a positive atmosphere on set despite the challenges of filming outdoor scenes in summer clothing during high temperatures.
