Sotiris Tsafoulias reflects on Giorgos Mazonakis and the nature of aging

During an appearance on the television program ‘Kalýtera de Ginétai’ on Alpha TV, director and producer Sotiris Tsafoulias reflected on the death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis. Tsafoulias, who expressed his affection for the late artist, used the occasion to comment on the societal pressure to avoid aging.

Tsafoulias cautioned against those who promise to prevent aging, stating, “Watch out for those who promise you that they will not grow old, because they tell the truth! They will not grow old, they will die young.” He advocated for embracing the wisdom of old age and accepting the natural human process of aging rather than fighting against it.

Host Natalia Germanou expressed her agreement with these sentiments, noting the personal temptation to attempt to delay time.
