South Aegean Region launches new free training programs

The South Aegean Region, in collaboration with the University of the Aegean and the Center for Training and Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM), is launching a new autumn cycle of the Aegean Skills program. Starting September 7, the initiative offers six new free training courses specifically for residents of the Dodecanese and Cyclades islands.

The diverse curriculum covers topics including first aid, tourism marketing, educational robotics, mindfulness, communication, and emotional intelligence. Since its launch in February 2026, the program has seen approximately 1,800 registrations, with 12 seminars completed or currently underway during the summer period.

Professor Emeritus Chrysoula Vitsilaki serves as the scientific director of the programs, with academic supervision provided by specialized members of the university community. Registration for the new courses is open until September 6, though positions are limited.
