South American Volleyball Championships held in Brazil

South American volleyball championships are scheduled to take place in Brazil, offering qualification spots for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

In João Pessoa, the South American Beach Volleyball Tournament will feature 32 pairs from nine countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The event includes special programming with Olympic legends such as Alison, Jackie, and Ana Patrícia, alongside sports clinics for local students.

Simultaneously, the South American Men's Indoor Volleyball Championship will be held at the Maracanãzinho in Rio de Janeiro from September 15 to 20, 2026. The tournament involves six nations: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and Bolivia. The champion of this competition will secure a direct berth for the 2028 Olympics. The final match between Brazil and Argentina is scheduled for the tournament's closing day.
