Typhoon No. 5 moves through North South China Sea

Typhoon No. 5 is moving through the Northeast area of the North South China Sea. As of 4:00 AM on September 2, the storm center was located at approximately 21.5 degrees North latitude and 116.7 degrees East longitude, with maximum winds reaching level 8 (62-74 km/h) and gusts up to level 10.

The storm is traveling northeast at a speed of about 15 km/h. Forecasts indicate that by September 4, the typhoon may change direction to the West-Northwest at 5 km/h, potentially reaching the waters southeast of Guangdong Province, China. By September 5, the storm is expected to move West-Southwest and weaken into a tropical depression.

Authorities have issued a level 3 natural disaster risk warning for the Northeast area of the North South China Sea, noting high waves of 3.0 to 5.0 meters in the vicinity of the storm center.
