South Korea cargo truck crashes injure two and kill one

On the morning of the 30th, two cargo trucks collided on a road in Namwon, Jeonbuk Province. Both drivers were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Police reported no signs of alcohol or drug use and suspect that a driver may have failed to properly check traffic, possibly crossing the center line or misjudging lane changes.

Earlier, a separate accident occurred on a farm road in Dalseong‑gun, Daegu, where a moving 1‑ton cargo truck struck a stationary vehicle of the same type. The driver of the moving truck, a man in his 60s, went into cardiac arrest and later died in hospital. The driver of the stopped truck was unharmed. Investigators are reviewing black‑box data and witness statements to determine the cause of the collision.
