South Korea hosts digital and global job fairs for youth
South Korea is hosting major recruitment events to connect young job seekers with opportunities in the digital and global sectors.
The ‘2026 K-Digital Job Festival’ was held at Seoil University in Seoul, organized by the Seoul Northern Employment and Welfare Plus Center and Daewoo Ability Development Institute. Approximately 65 IT companies participated, seeking talent in fields such as generative AI, cloud infrastructure (MLOps), and full-stack web development. The event provided on-site interviews, resume consulting, and portfolio reviews to support youth who have completed digital technology vocational training.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea hosted the ‘2026 Global Job Matching Day’ at the Seoul Garden Hotel. This event connected domestic youth with 32 companies from nine different countries across sectors including IT, finance, and aviation. To support international career paths, the government plans to assist 4,700 young people this year through the K-Move School program and overseas employment settlement subsidies.
