South Korea to host India in Davis Cup Qualifier Round 2

South Korea will host India at the Olympic Tennis Centre in Seoul on September 18‑19, 2026, for the Davis Cup Qualifiers Round 2. India, ranked 19th, and Korea, ranked 16th, have a close head‑to‑head record of 6‑5.

India will announce its squad on August 10. The two nations last met in 2016 in Chandigarh, where India won 4‑1 on grass. India earned its place in this round after a dramatic 3‑2 victory over the Netherlands in Bengaluru in February, highlighted by Dhakshineswar Suresh winning both singles rubbers and the decisive doubles with Yuki Bhambri.

Korea secured its own upset by beating 2016 champions Argentina 3‑2 in Busan, driven by Kwon Soonwoo, who was completing military service. The winner of the Seoul tie will advance to the Davis Cup Final 8 in November. Korea previously reached the 16‑team Finals in 2022 and 2023.
