South Korea weather: Rain expected during Chuseok holiday

During the Chuseok holiday period, much of South Korea is experiencing cloudy skies and rainfall, making it difficult to view the full moon. In the central regions, rain is expected to continue until the early morning, while southern regions and Jeju Island may see rain lasting through the afternoon or evening.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in certain areas, particularly along the Jeonnam coast and Jeju Island, with expected amounts ranging from 20 to 80 mm. Some coastal areas may also experience strong winds, gusts, and thunderstorms.

Temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal averages, with morning lows between 13 and 30 degrees Celsius and afternoon highs between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. Due to the rain, travelers are advised to exercise caution regarding short visibility and slippery roads during their return trips.
