South Korean educational institutions sign agreements to enhance childcare and children's rights
Two separate memorandums of understanding (MOU) were signed in South Korea to improve educational support for children and childcare professionals.
Seoul Remote Lifelong Education Institute partnered with the Dobong-gu Home Daycare Center Association to strengthen the professional competencies of childcare staff. The agreement aims to provide remote learning infrastructure, allowing educators to access training and professional development more easily despite demanding work schedules. This initiative is intended to improve the overall quality of childcare services.
Separately, the Guri-Namyangju Office of Education and Namyangju City signed an agreement to revitalize children's rights education. The collaboration focuses on creating a child-friendly city by implementing participatory and experiential education programs linked to school curricula. Namyangju City will manage planning and budgeting, while the Office of Education will facilitate program implementation and school connections to ensure children can understand and express their rights within the community.
