South Korean health institutions launch organ donation campaigns

Various South Korean institutions are conducting ‘Life Sharing Hope Seed’ campaigns to promote organ and human tissue donation during the 9th annual Life Sharing Week.

In Eumseong-gun, the Public Health Center is organizing activities including OX quizzes, a walking challenge via the ‘WalkOn’ mobile app, and survey events to encourage registration. The region reported a 44.4% increase in new organ donation registrations in 2025 compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Bucheon St. Mary's Hospital held an event for staff and visitors in collaboration with the Korea Organ Donation Agency. The campaign provided information on donation procedures and offered consultations regarding advance directives for life-sustaining treatment to foster a culture of life sharing.
