South Korean tennis team to face India in Davis Cup qualifier

The South Korean men's tennis national team will compete against India in the 2026 Davis Cup second qualifying round on September 18 and 19. The matches will be held at the Olympic Park Center Court in Seoul.

Led by coach Jeong Jong-sam, the South Korean squad includes top players such as Kwon Soon-woo and Chung Hyeon, alongside Hong Seong-chan, Nam Ji-sung, and Park Ui-seong. A victory would mark the first time in history that South Korea reaches the Davis Cup quarterfinals, which are scheduled to take place in Bologna, Italy, this November.

The competition follows a best-of-five format, consisting of two singles matches on the first day and one doubles match followed by two singles matches on the second day. South Korea holds a slight historical advantage over India with a head-to-head record of 6 wins and 5 losses.
