South Korea's LH Boosts Housing Delivery Under New CEO Lee Seong-hoon

Lee Seong‑hoon was appointed chief executive of Korea Land & Housing Corp (LH) and has made rapid housing delivery his top priority. Within days of taking office, LH announced the launch of 2,306 homes in the Goyang‑Changreung third‑new‑town project and 378 units in Gunpo’s Daeyami public‑rental‑to‑sale conversion, part of a broader 2026 procurement plan worth about 17 trillion won.

The new CEO also visited the Seoul‑based Seoripul district, a flagship development slated for up to 20,000 units across two phases. He ordered the construction schedule to be moved forward by more than a year, targeting a 2028 start for the first phase. LH is pairing public rental units with profit‑sharing models and adding youth‑focused and mid‑size apartments to meet demand in high‑need areas. Safety checks for heatwaves were also reinforced during the site visits.
