South Tangerang ramps up stunting fight with Ngider Sehat Premium and Posyandu cadres

Mayor Benyamin Davnie of South Tangerang (Tangerang Selatan) reaffirmed the city’s commitment to reduce child stunting during a National Children’s Day ceremony in June 2026. He praised the Ngider Sehat Premium teams and Posyandu health cadres, urging them to expand door‑to‑door visits, even into narrow alleys, to identify early cases of malnutrition and provide timely nutrition supplements, regular health checks and education for families during the critical first 1,000 days of life.

The program is positioned as a dual‑pillar effort that combines preventive health outreach with broader socio‑economic measures, such as ensuring access to nutritious food for low‑income families and improving sanitation and housing conditions. The mayor highlighted that tackling stunting requires coordinated action across health, economic, and environmental sectors, and that the frontline work of cadres is essential for the city’s overall health goals.
