Travel data reveals significant trends in holiday preferences for Polish travelers. For residents of Kraków and the Małopolska region, Southern Europe remains the dominant choice. According to Ryanair data, Italy is the top destination, followed by Spain and Greece. Popular routes include flights to Milan-Bergamo, Rome, and Barcelona.

Simultaneously, Malta is experiencing a surge in popularity among Polish tourists. The Malta Tourism Authority reported that nearly 274,000 Poles visited the island in the first half of 2026, marking a year-on-year increase of approximately 50 percent. This growth has positioned the Polish market as the third largest in Europe for Malta, trailing only the United Kingdom and Italy.
