Southern France to see rain, wind and cooler temps on Thursday June 4, 2026

On Thursday 4 June 2026, the Gard rhodanien region will experience a turn from morning clouds to afternoon storms, with rain totals of 10–30 mm, gusts of 50‑75 km/h and a temperature drop of 6‑8 °C. Temperatures will range from 16 °C in the morning to 27‑28 °C in the afternoon.

In Marseille and its surroundings, the day will be mostly sunny and warm, with daytime temperatures around 22‑25 °C, light winds of 15‑25 km/h and only a slight chance of isolated showers (up to 5 mm). A gentle sea‑breeze may make the evening feel cooler.

Further east in the Var department, the sky will stay largely clouded, with afternoon highs of 23‑24 °C. Light to moderate showers are expected late in the day and into the evening across much of the department, including the coastal towns where temperatures will be 22‑27 °C.
