SPA São Raimundo undergoes revitalization in Manaus
The Amazonas State Health Secretariat (SES-AM) has launched a revitalization project for the SPA São Raimundo in the western zone of Manaus. The project is part of a broader modernization plan involving 27 state health units, with all works expected to be completed by December of this year.
The renovations include structural improvements to the infirmary, pediatric observation area, consultation rooms, drainage rooms, and the pharmacy. Governor Roberto Cidade stated that following these upgrades, the SPA São Raimundo will be transformed into a UPA (Emergency Care Unit) to better serve the local population. Currently, the facility treats approximately 400 patients daily, 67% of whom require primary care.
