Spain: 82% of citizens link Morocco to Ceuta migration surge

A recent DYM barometer indicates that 82.4% of Spaniards believe the mass influx of migrants at the Ceuta border in late July was promoted by Morocco. The survey shows a significant majority of the population, including 77% of Socialists and Sumar supporters, holds this view.

Furthermore, 82.7% of respondents believe that Spain and the European Union should impose sanctions on Morocco due to its perceived inaction during the border crisis. While the perception of Morocco as a reliable partner has seen a slight decline compared to 2021, the majority of voters across the political spectrum continue to link the Moroccan government to the migration surge.
