Spanish government pushes 2027 budget plan as Vox pressures Valencia on fiscal law

Vice‑president and Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo told the Congress that the government will present the macro‑economic framework for the 2027 State General Budgets on 23 June. The forecast keeps a 2.2 % growth outlook despite uncertainty from the Middle‑East conflict, and the finance ministry highlighted housing as a priority in the upcoming budget.

In the Valencian Community, President Juanfran Pérez Llorca is seeking approval of the 2026 regional budget while the far‑right Vox party demands that the omnibus fiscal measure known as the “Ley de Acompañamiento” be passed before August. Vox leader José María Llanos warned that parliamentary periods are “flexible” but implied that the party could withhold its votes on the budget until the law is approved. The regional parliament’s timetable sets a full debate on 17 June and a deadline for amendments on 29 June, with the law’s committee meeting scheduled for 13‑15 July.
