Spain launches €15 million hospitality energy‑efficiency grant scheme
The Spanish government has approved a €15 million programme to help bars, cafés, restaurants, hotels and guesthouses replace ageing equipment with energy‑efficient alternatives. Grants range from €5,000 to €11,000 per establishment and can cover up to 100 % of eligible costs. The scheme is open to more than 300,000 hospitality businesses nationwide and excludes equipment that runs on fossil fuels such as natural gas.
Applications open at 10 am on 5 August 2026 and close at 3 pm on 30 September 2026. Grants are awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis to complete applications, and processing continues until the allocated budget is exhausted.
