Spain allocates €21 million for Castilla‑La Mancha rural inns and launches nature classroom in Cádiz

The regional government of Castilla‑La Mancha announced an investment of more than €21 million to expand its network of rural hostels. The plan includes the rehabilitation of the 18th‑century La Almazara del Marqués in Viso del Marqués, the tenth establishment in the network, with nearly €900,000 allocated for the project. The initiative was presented by Economy Minister Patricia Franco and President Emiliano García‑Page as part of a broader effort to boost rural tourism and employment in the region.

Separately, the Aula de la Naturaleza Rancho Novo opened in Novo Sancti Petri, Cádiz, after a €200,000 investment. The 9,000‑square‑metre complex offers three pillars – environmental education, an ecogranja with livestock and a restaurant with cultural activities – and can host up to 300 visitors. Local officials including deputy mayor Mª Ángeles Martínez Rico and tourism delegate Manuela Pérez attended the inauguration.

Both projects aim to combine education, sustainable tourism and local economic development in their respective Spanish regions.
