Spain allocates subsidies for accessible housing upgrades in Mollet and renewable energy projects in Lleida

The municipality of Mollet del Vallès in Catalonia launched three public subsidy programmes aimed at improving the accessibility of residential buildings for people with reduced mobility and at increasing energy efficiency. The first line funds technical inspections of building structures; the second supports material works on multi‑family blocks to remove architectural barriers and boost communal energy efficiency; the third targets individual homes for interior accessibility upgrades and electrification. Application deadlines are 27 July 2026 for inspections and 24 August 2026 for the other two lines.

In Lleida, 83 renewable‑energy projects were selected for funding by the Institute for Diversification and Energy Savings, receiving a total of up to €36.4 million. The projects cover photovoltaic, aerothermal, geothermal and floating‑solar installations. The most heavily supported scheme is a €19 million agro‑voltaic farm at La Portella, followed by a €5 million wind park at Solans de la Granadella. The allocated amount represents about 8.4 % of the national fund for renewable projects.
