Spain authorizes €20.4 million for road maintenance in Huelva
The Spanish Council of Ministers has approved a €20.42 million contract for the upkeep and operation of state roads in the province of Huelva. The investment targets 146 km of road, including major work on the A‑49 autovía that links Huelva with Sevilla and the Portuguese border, as well as sections of the N‑435 and N‑435A.
The mixed‑service contract covers routine conservation, winter road management, safety studies and drainage repairs, and incorporates energy‑efficiency measures such as renewable lighting and a carbon‑neutral plan for the contractor. The project aims to improve traffic safety and mobility for the thousands of daily users of these routes.
