Energy transition initiatives expand electric mobility and employment

Various regional and sectoral initiatives are advancing the energy transition through infrastructure development and professional training. In Spain, the Junta de Extremadura has implemented the RuralMED Mobility project, establishing three new electric vehicle charging points in Coria, Cilleros, and Perales del Puerto, alongside a shared mobility service using BYD Dolphin electric vehicles.

In Almagro, the City Council is proceeding with a contract to award a concession for a two-station electric vehicle charging point and a car wash service. Meanwhile, in Madrid, the Alliance for Inclusive Energy Transition (ATEI)—supported by Fundación Repsol and Fundación Santa María la Real—will host an event on October 6 to discuss how the energy transition can drive employment and social inclusion.

In Colombia, the automotive media outlet ALL ENGINE is organizing a multi-brand electric and hybrid vehicle caravan in Bogotá. The event aims to highlight the benefits of clean mobility, noting that electric motors reduce noise and vibrations, which can decrease stress for pets during travel.
