Spain experiences increased autumn atmospheric humidity

Spain is experiencing higher levels of atmospheric humidity during the autumn season compared to previous years. This increase is being observed across most of the country, with the most significant percentage increases occurring in the Mediterranean and Cantabrian areas.

Meteorologist José Miguel Viñas attributes this phenomenon to global warming. Warmer ocean waters are contributing larger quantities of water vapor to the atmosphere, a trend affecting both Spain and various other terrestrial regions. In the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, such as in Seville, humidity levels have reached 80%, a figure not historically recorded, leading to increased sensations of heat and discomfort.
