Spain finishes A‑15 tunnel upgrades and reopens Arteixo coastal road
Eight years of renovation on the A‑15 highway tunnels in Gipuzkoa, Spain, have been completed. The €95 million project upgraded four tunnels with advanced safety systems, surveillance cameras and sustainability features, ending long‑standing summer traffic delays. Regional officials highlighted the modernised infrastructure as a significant milestone for the link between Gipuzkoa and Navarra.
In Galicia, the DP‑3002 road linking Suevos with the Bens beach was reopened after nearly eight months of work on a new collector pipe. The €2.7 million scheme resolved chronic wastewater overflows and restored full traffic flow on the coastal route that serves local residents and tourists. Both projects were funded jointly by regional and municipal authorities and mark the conclusion of major road‑works in their respective areas.
