Spain gasoline and diesel prices hover around €1.55‑€1.60 per litre in early July 2026

Average fuel prices in Spain on 11‑12 July 2026 were €1.56‑€1.58 per litre for gasoline 95, €1.74‑€1.75 for gasoline 98 and €1.57‑€1.60 for diesel, according to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition’s geo‑portal. Discount retailers such as Costco, Alcampo, Ballenoil, Plenergy and Petroprix posted rates below the national average – for example Alcampo offered diesel at €1.42 €/l and gasoline at €1.41 €/l, while Petroprix’s diesel was €1.44 €/l.

The cheapest nationwide prices were €1.05 €/l for gasoline 95 in Granada (A‑92 km 211) and €1.419 €/l for gasoline 98 in Las Palmas. Regional spreads remained significant: in Madrid gasoline 95 ranged from €1.39 to €1.75, in Barcelona from €1.30 to €1.70, and in Valencia from €1.30 to €1.72 per litre. Differences are driven by autonomous‑community taxes, local competition and proximity to ports and logistics hubs.
