Spain hosts health innovation hackathon and entrepreneurship seminar
The eighth edition of Innomakers4Health 2026, a health innovation hackathon driven by Wayra Telefónica and the Pfizer Foundation, has announced its upcoming schedule. Set for October 23 and 24, 2026, at the Telefónica Foundation in Madrid, the event will bring together 100 multidisciplinary participants to address clinical efficiency. In collaboration with the Hospital Universitario de La Princesa, the challenge focuses on reducing administrative tasks to optimize the experience for both patients and healthcare professionals in outpatient clinics.
Winners of the hackathon will receive a 3,000 euro prize and six months of project acceleration at InnomakersLAB. Additionally, participants may be eligible for a two-week residency in the Richi Li program.
Separately, Universitat CEU Abat Oliba held its 14th Experiential Entrepreneurship Seminar in collaboration with the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Catalonia (AIJEC). The seminar featured entrepreneur Jordi Priu, who discussed the importance of leadership, creativity, and decision-making skills in business development. The session was designed to provide business administration students with practical insights into startup investment and international project management.
