Spain initiates public land sales for 500+ new affordable homes in Vitoria‑Gasteiz, Toledo and Azuqueca

The Ayuntamiento of Vitoria‑Gasteiz approved the sale of a 2,075 m² parcel in the Zabalgana district for a maximum of 137 residential units. The developer must meet the EU Green Taxonomy and ensure every flat attains at least an energy rating of B. The plot, priced at €5.25 million (VAT excluded), also includes a 1,200 m² commercial space and offers are due by 16 October.

In Castilla‑La Mancha, the regional public company Gicaman announced tenders for three public parcels in Toledo and Azuqueca de Henares. The sites will allow the construction of up to 231 cooperatively‑owned homes in Toledo and 172 protected‑price homes in Azuqueca, totalling 403 new affordable dwellings. The tenders will be published on 31 July, with selection based on architectural quality, energy efficiency and sustainability criteria, as stated by Gicaman’s director Silvia López.
