Spanish authorities, as part of 'Operation Doncella', intercepted a 14-meter sailing yacht flying a Polish flag in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 400 miles off the coast of Galicia. The vessel was carrying over 2,100 kilograms of cocaine, distributed in roughly 70 bales.

The operation was a coordinated international effort involving the Spanish Tax and Customs Agency (AEAT), French customs, Polish and British police, and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The yacht, named 'Seute Deern', had been under surveillance since July after departing from the port of Roses in Girona.

Five individuals were arrested in connection with the incident: four crew members on the yacht—with nationalities including Argentine, Uruguayan, Colombian, and Albanian—and a suspected ringleader, a Chilean national, who was apprehended in Girona. Investigators believe the criminal network specialized in providing recreational vessels to drug trafficking organizations from Eastern Europe and the Balkans to facilitate the 'Atlantic cocaine route'.
