Spain launches new protected‑housing projects in Bétera and Málaga

The municipality of Bétera will add 21 protected homes under the regional Plan VIVE after the town council transferred a 1,254‑square‑metre municipal plot to the Valencian Housing and Land Agency (EVHA). The development marks the first public protected housing in Bétera in more than two decades and aims to improve affordable‑housing access for young families.

In Málaga, the city council approved the start of procedures to urbanise the Vega de Campanillas area. The plan foresees 7,339 new dwellings, of which 4,140 will be protected, using a partial‑plan approach and a super‑block/eco‑neighbourhood design to speed up construction and create a mixed‑use urban fabric.
