Spain regional programs offer free vocational training
Various regional initiatives in Spain are offering free vocational training and professional development programs to workers and the unemployed.
In the Canary Islands, nearly 200 online courses are available for employees and the self-employed, fully subsidized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. Subjects include Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital marketing.
In Extremadura, the EFESO program in Don Benito provides training in industrial cleaning, garden maintenance, and waste management, with potential scholarships for participants. Similarly, Morón de la Frontera is hosting a course on local tourism revitalization, event design, and route planning to improve employability in the tourism sector.
In Cáceres, the ISLA V project offers 120 free placements across eight municipalities. These courses cover specialized areas such as e-commerce, warehouse operations, social-healthcare assistance, hairdressing, and culinary arts, combining theoretical study with supervised professional practices to facilitate labor market integration.
