Spain poll shows Zapatero scandal lifts PP and Vox support

A poll conducted by DYM for Electomanía indicates that the Zapatero scandal has boosted the People's Party (PP) to 34.9% of the vote and Vox to 16.5%, while the PSOE falls to 27.0%. The survey projects 145‑149 seats for the PP, 55‑57 for Vox, and 104‑108 for the PSOE.

Another DYM poll for Diario de Navarra finds that 61.8% of Spaniards believe the government and the PSOE should stop supporting former prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, and 60.9% consider his defence of his actions to be little or not at all credible. The poll was carried out before Julio Martínez announced new accusations against Zapatero. Both surveys reflect growing scepticism toward Zapatero amid ongoing judicial investigations.

The results suggest the scandal is reshaping public opinion ahead of upcoming elections, with centre‑right parties gaining ground and the public demanding less political backing for the former premier.
