Spain SailGP Team qualifies for final after comeback in Sassnitz

The Spain SailGP Team demonstrated significant resilience during the Grand Prix of Germany in Sassnitz, overcoming a poor start to secure a place in the final. After finishing last in the opening race, the team, led by Diego Botín and Florian Trittel, achieved a first-place finish in the final group stage race, which allowed them to qualify for the championship final.

In the final race, the Spanish team finished in third place after a challenging session characterized by low wind, fog, and rain in the Baltic Sea. While they missed out on a race victory, their performance keeps them second in the overall standings, trailing Australia by 14 points. Australia maintained its dominance by winning the final race.

The circuit now moves to the Grand Prix of Spain in Valencia, scheduled for September 5 and 6, where the Spain SailGP Team will compete on home waters.
