The town of Las Navas del Marqués in Ávila province has unveiled the official programme for its 2026 feria taurina, running from 12 to 19 July. The schedule includes novilladas, a mixed corrida, a public tent‑show with students from the Escuela Taurina "El Yiyo" of Madrid, a recorte competition and an equestrian spectacle, featuring bulls from the Victoriano del Río, Ayuso and other ranches. Notable participants are returning local torero Sergio Rodríguez, Alejandro Moray and rising novilleros such as Jorge Hurtado and Julio Campano.
In the province of Pontevedra, more than forty bullfighting clubs are preparing for the August fair at the Coso de San Roque, with a popular becerrada held on Saturday as a warm‑up. The event, staged with Alcurrucén cattle, was directed by 18‑year‑old torero Marco Pérez, whose debut in Pontevedra is set for 9 August. The main corridas will see Diego Urdiales, Sebastián Castella and Daniel Luque on 8 August, followed by Alejandro Talavante, Roca Rey and Pérez on 9 August, using bulls from Alcurrucén and Victoriano del Río. Animal‑rights groups have protested the events.
