Lucas Paulano Chosen as Spain's Junior Eurovision 2026 Representative
Ten‑year‑old Lucas Paulano, a native of Jaén and the 2025 winner of La Voz Kids, has been internally selected by Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) to represent Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The announcement was made during the season finale of the programme El Perro Andaluz on La 1 on 30 July 2026. Paulano performed a Spanish version of “Grande Amore” as part of the reveal.
The contest will take place on 24 October 2026 at the Malta Fairs & Convention Centre in Ta’ Qali, marking Spain’s 12th participation. RTVE has not yet disclosed the song title or the final staging details. Paulano joins a line‑up that includes past Spanish representatives such as Gonzalo Pinillos (2025) and Melani García (2019). The selection follows an internal‑selection format that RTVE used between 2022 and 2025.
In addition to his victory on La Voz Kids, Paulano has performed in concerts with Manuel Turizo, appeared at events with the Kings of Spain during their visit to Jaén, and released his first single “Todo sigue igual” in December 2025. He continues his musical studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Ramón Garay in Jaén while working with composer‑producer Alejandro Jaén on new material.
