Spain suspends disciplinary files for two prosecutors in Plus Ultra

Spain's Inspection Fiscal of the State Prosecutor's Office has suspended the disciplinary proceedings against Pilar Rodríguez, former chief prosecutor of Madrid, and María Luisa Llop, prosecutor at the National Court. The suspension follows a complaint filed by the anti‑corruption organization Iustitia Europa, linking the case to the Plus Ultra airline public rescue of €53 million. Under the Ministry of Justice's regulations, disciplinary action cannot be resolved until a final criminal judgment or dismissal is issued, so the file will remain inactive pending the outcome of the ongoing criminal investigation.

The inspection also ordered the anti‑corruption chief, Alejandro Luzón, to provide any judicial resolutions affecting the two prosecutors. Iustitia Europa highlighted statements in police reports that suggested attempts to influence the investigation, describing the situation as a direct connection to the Plus Ultra criminal case.
