Spain to launch new renewable generation contests after summer

The Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition announced that new renewable generation contests will be launched in September or October, marking the first such call since 2022. Speculation arose about a possible offshore wind auction, following comments by Vice‑President and Minister Sara Aagesen that an offshore wind tender could be held before year‑end.
