Emergency services respond to various incidents across Spain

Various emergency incidents and service updates have been reported across Spain. In Torrefarrera, a large-scale search operation involving divers, drones, and canine units concluded with the discovery of a body in the Cap canal after an abandoned bicycle was found nearby.

In the Burgos province, firefighting teams are battling a blaze near the Arlanzón reservoir, utilizing both land and air resources. Meanwhile, in Huelva, efforts continue to manage the aftermath of the Niebla forest fire, which affected over 38,000 hectares; although the situation has stabilized, resources remain deployed.

Regarding emergency infrastructure, the 112 emergency website in Castilla-La Mancha saw a significant increase in traffic, doubling its visits to over 141,000 in the first half of 2026. Additionally, the psychosocial assistance service provided by Cruz Roja, coordinated by the 112 service, completed 27 interventions in the first six months of the year to support victims and emergency workers during crises.
