Spain's A-6 Autovía Between León and Lugo Faces New Traffic Cuts Until October
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is continuing rehabilitation works on the A-6 highway between León and Lugo. The project, covering kilometres 407 to 480.5, will involve phased traffic restrictions from July through to early October, including lane closures and full closures in the A Coruña direction, with detours via the N-6 or a shifted carriageway.
The structural renewal, funded with a budget of €8.8 million, aims to improve road safety and durability. Drivers are advised to plan journeys in advance and exercise caution, especially during the summer peak traffic period between Castilla y León and Galicia.
All temporary routes will be clearly signed, and the work is expected to be completed by the beginning of October.
