Spain's CaixaBank Expands SME Support with New CEOE Deal and Corporate Finance Association

CaixaBank has renewed its long‑standing financing pact with the Spanish employers’ confederation CEOE, adding the small‑business federation CEPYME. The agreement, signed by CaixaBank president Muniesa, CEOE president Garamendi and CEPYME president Miguel, commits at least 75 % of the funding to small and medium‑sized enterprises and aims to raise the total volume to €50 billion by 2026. It will provide working‑capital loans, medium‑ and long‑term investment financing, and support for innovation, internationalisation and entrepreneurship.

In a parallel move to deepen corporate‑finance expertise, the Spanish Association of Corporate Finance (Acorfi) was launched. Presided over by Rosa Cañadas of Talea, the body brings together major market participants including CaixaBank, PwC, EFPA, ETL, Magallanes and Mediterranea Capital. Acorfi will publish market analyses, promote best‑practice standards, facilitate networking on M&A and alternative financing, and act as a conduit for dialogue with regulators to improve the financing environment for Spanish companies, especially SMEs.
