Spain’s Cheapest Municipalities Revealed in Idealista Report
Idealista’s second‑quarter 2026 price report identified Fuente Obejuna in Andalusia as the cheapest Spanish municipality for buying a home, with a median price of €369 per square metre. Pedro Muñoz in Ciudad Real followed at €377 per square metre, making them the only two towns nationwide with average prices below €400.
In the Basque‑speaking region of Navarre, Idealista data showed Corella as the most affordable town for second‑hand housing in Hego Euskal Herria, where the average price was €1,201 per square metre – about 39 % lower than the Navarre regional average but far above the national low‑price benchmark set by Fuente Obejuna. The report highlighted large price differentials between these municipalities and their respective autonomous communities, with Fuente Obejuna’s price 87.4 % below the Andalusian average.
