Spain's Entrepreneur Support Points Boost Company Creation

The private Punto de Atención al Emprendedor (PAE) in Madrid, run by economist Juan Carlos Romero Muñoz through Autónomos Pymes Asesoría Online, has processed more than 3,888 company registrations since 2012. About 98 % of these are limited‑liability societies, with 379 new firms created in 2024, a 14.8 % increase over the previous year.

The public network of Puntos de Acompañamiento Empresarial managed by the Junta de Extremadura has supported the creation of over 2,000 companies in the region. Since January 2024 the service has assisted 16,800 entrepreneurs, delivered more than 50,000 services—primarily aid processing, business orientation and project viability studies—and allocated €1.65 million for its operations. Around 28 % of the assistance relates to public aid applications, while 23 % covers general business advice and 20 % focuses on feasibility analysis.
