Spain's Euríbor drops to 2.73% in July, easing mortgage payments

The Euro Interbank Offered Rate (Euríbor) fell to a provisional 2.73% in July 2026, down from 2.798% at the end of June. The modest decline is expected to reduce the monthly payment on a typical €150,000 variable‑rate mortgage by about €39‑40, according to the Bank of Spain data and the prevailing differential of 1%.

In the same period, a consumer guide compared three providers of €2,000 personal loans in SpainCreditio, Fintonic and Microcréditos24—highlighting typical annual percentage rates (TAE) around 7% and outlining monthly repayments ranging from €34 to €174 depending on loan term.

Both pieces reflect a broader easing of borrowing costs in Spain as the European Central Bank is anticipated to pause interest‑rate hikes at its July 23 meeting.
