Spain's Imserso rolls out 2026 travel program, cheapest trips start at €133

The Spanish Institute for Seniors and Social Services (Imserso) has launched its 2026‑2027 travel programme. The official bulletin (BOE) published on 4 June details the cheapest options: four‑day, three‑night stays in provincial capitals for €132.91 during the low season (November‑April), increasing to €232.91 in the high season (May, June, October). Prices rise further for trips that include transport, single rooms, or Christmas‑time gala meals, with supplements ranging from €20 to €26 per person.

The application window is now open. Seniors must submit documentation (ID, contact details, pension information) to be entered into the scoring system that determines priority. The programme promises affordable leisure travel for people over 55‑60, with many destinations filling quickly and a limited number of ultra‑low‑cost places available each year.
