Spain's Medical Colleges Roll Out Community Health Scholarships and Municipal Collaboration

The Illustrious College of Physicians of Valencia (ICOMV) held a ceremony to award its 2026 Cooperation Aid Scholarships, granting funding to projects that improve health and wellbeing for vulnerable groups. Awarded initiatives include support for vulvar lichen sclerosus treatment, affordable gynecological care, theatre programmes for severe mental illness, enhanced health‑education facilities, and health access for migrant populations.

Separately, the College of Physicians of Ciudad Real signed a cooperation agreement with the municipality of Torre de Juan Abad. The pact aims to promote health education, disease prevention, active ageing, and cultural heritage appreciation. Joint activities such as talks, workshops and a public visit to the town’s historic sites, including a concert on the historic organ, are planned, with the first event scheduled for 14 November.
